Meets once a week for 1 hour for 4 weeks

 $50.00 for first student, $40.00 for siblings.

 All Materials will be provided in class and students will be able to take home their paint palette after the course is complete.

 Final Project: Students will choose an animal from the templates provided and use the watercolor skills and techniques learned throughout the course to paint their animal.

 Class Description: In this 4 week watercolor class students will not only learn how to paint with watercolors but they will also learn color theory, vocabulary, and watercolor techniques. For our final project students will complete a watercolor painting of an animal of their choice.

 Week 1: Supplies- What are they? How do they work?

Mixing Pigments- How to get the right consistency

Color Wheel- How to mix your colors, how to use a color wheel

 Week 2: Washes and Watercolor techniques- Create a technique chart.

 Watercolor Techniques Include:

-Graded wash

-Flat wash

-Lift off

-Wet in wet wash

 Week 3: Start final project- begin tracing our animal onto watercolor paper and start

            painting.

 Week 4: Finish final project- continue working on our paintings.

This is an interactive class. Students will be able to ask questions and together we will problem solve common issues you run into with watercolors. Students need no prior painting experience.
